The White House decided not to move forward with a proposal to cut foreign aid, sources say.
Both Democratic and Republican lawmakers expressed worries over the multi-billion dollar proposal, multiple sources told Politico.
The lawmakers said the foreign aid proposal might hurt programs intended for foreign aid and that the proposal might endanger the July budget deal, which increased monetary spending within the next year to $1.37 trillion.
Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reportedly warned President Donald Trump that the foreign aid cuts proposal might endanger national security as well as bipartisan deals.

Just the suggestion produced most of the objective.
People point to the over $22T “deficit” that currently exists. They “accuse” President Trump of fiscal irresponsibility. But they fail to realize that that train has been building speed for over 50 years. And it’s still headed down-hill. It’s NOT Donald J. Trump’s fault! Most of the deficit “IOU” is carried by the Fed. It’s a fake debt. But that’s one reason President Trump is working on limiting the power of TheFed. To say The White House “failed to save money on….” is to stir up Democrats just looking for another reason to not like the President. It’s the dog whistle principle. The dinner bell for frenzy feeding. President Trump is NOT a Republican nor a Democrat. He IS a patriot who has been fighting FOR America for DECADES. Folks who “hate” him need to study his background, forget HRC and BHO, and think about bringing America back to our moral leadership in the world. We’re truly the ONLY nation that cares about right and wrong, morality and justice. We need to get on the America Train which, incidentally, has the Donald J. Trump as the engine! In God we Trust!

You are right on! We desperately need term limits for all members of congress, all they can think about is their power and making money for themselves!
Over the years as the government becomes more involved in financial matters, those matters have continued to worsen, especially considering that there are no term limits for the 535 in Congress!! We the few who still work are being constantly mislead!!!
