Article from The Hill by Alexander Bolton.
Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) is raising concerns about Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s record on privacy issues and could face a tough decision about whether to support him.
No Republicans have come out against Kavanaugh’s confirmation, which conservatives believe would give them five solid votes on the court.
But Paul has stopped short of praising Kavanaugh in public, and has declined to answer reporters’ questions about the nominee.
Paul released a statement immediately after President Trump nominated Kavanaugh, pledging to review his record and keep an “open mind.”

Rand is correct to be concerned about privacy issues. It is obvious government has misused
our privacy many times and private industry has also. They try to flim-flam us when we complain and go ahead and do the same things with phony warrants. We need judges to put a stop to this.
Hey! Rand Paul, What is it that you would want to stop Kavanaugh from being the next Supreme Court Judge? As long as he supports the 2nd Amendment and is a fair person isn’t that good enough?
Rand Paul is not going to prevent this nomination from going through! This is just the way he plays politics and gets his say in the record!
If fingerprinting the public and bodyscanning and pat-downs at the
airports are not privacy invasions, I don’t know what is.
