Southwestern border states that legalize medical marijuana see a notable decline in violent crime rates, especially in border counties and as compared against states that do not, a recently released study concluded.
The study, published in the journal of the Royal Economic Society, is an effort to provide empirical evidence for the claim that the legalization of medical marijuana reduces the violent activity of Mexican drug trafficking organizations, which are overwhelmingly the suppliers of marijuana in America.
A drop in violence, the study’s authors argue, would be because legal marijuana regimes allow local farmers to enter the market, in turn cutting the profits for Mexican drug traffickers. Violence is expensive, they note, and so a cut in profits should drive down violence as traffickers have less incentive to use violent force to keep control of customers and territory.
To determine the effect of medical marijuana laws on violent crime rates, the study authors performed three comparisons: They studied crime rates in counties before and after the introduction of medical marijuana; then between counties with and without medical marijuana; and finally, between counties at the border and further inland.

People seldom smoke the marijuana for medicinal purposes. Suspect you will learn that the main reason cannabis was put on schedule 1 drugs was to falsely criminalize it and illegal to possess. Both the THC and the CBD marijuana are very near a herbal panacea and to date no death has ever been attributed solely to marijuana of either variety.
The CDC holds 3 patents on chemical complexes found in the plants: one patent is for cancer treatment, another is for neurogenics, and the other one is for treating autoimmune diseases. Think it is now being used to treat 43 different diseases.
We hear a lot of the drug war and the opioid epidemic. All it would take to end the opioid epidemic of accidental deaths from overdose is freeing both cannabis varieties from the drug list and putting them back on the safe herbal lists where they both belong. This would also end the black marketing sale of the THC variety which gives the high because people would be free to grow their own supply as they now can do in California and maybe in other states where it is legal. Even for those who wouldn’t be interested in growing their own herbs, local farmers could have a healthy, healing crop instead of growing tobacco and I am sure their price would be much lower than the drug pusher and have them going to more lucrative areas to peddle their drugs.
Then I will add this: doesn’t it seem a bit odd that clinics are popping up all over to treat overdoses of “the extremely strong pot” being sold and distributed? Well, when you find out many are being treated for “paranoid schizophrenia” and also some committing suicide, it doesn’t seem so odd at all. Far be it from me the notion that I would like people to stop falling for the lie, and “blowing their minds!” If that’s your pleasure, well you’re free to pursue. Don’t say, no one told you!!
If you research the truth, you will find there are no overdose deaths solely attributed to cannabis and no I have not heard of clinics popping up all ove to treat overdoses of marijuana, nor have I heard of higher rates of suicide in cannabis users. Sounds like someone is still hellbent on lies to demonize two wonderful herbal plants because they want to keep peddling much more dangerous drugs, both prescription and black market.
Take a look at who the Royal Economic Society is. They are BRITS. The same guys who have laid down and given their country to muslims. The same ones who have that genius Piers Morgan. The same Brits who believe in GLOBAL WARMING.
And they want us to believe they did a STUDY from over there? LOL
