Detroit Police proved the inefficiencies of the war on drugs in a hilarious way, last week.
According to Reason, a group of Detroit PD officers posing as drug dealers got into a fight with a group of Detroit PD officers posing as drug purchasers. The fight included guns being drawn, and one officer being transported to the hospital.
It is yet another look into the inefficiency of police departments in their attempts to fight the war on drugs. By forcefully interfering into a consensual exchange of goods, both sides proved how unprofessional and excessive they are. It is time to take a second look at the costliest war in American history with common sense reforms and a more professional approach to this societal issue.

To end the drug problem, I’d suggest the government turn enforcement over to the dads of victims. I guarantee, drug dealers would find another business or meet their maker.
I truly believe that the drug enforcement cartels are becoming a simple middle man in the whole scheme of things, remove the middle man and prices go DOWN…. and then reasonable controls can be established to regulate consumption, and the “tax” levied on the sale end of things can be aimed at treatment protocols that are at the top of efficacy.
So dads should pose as dealers and buyers so that this same violent interaction continues? The author had a different approach in mind and so does the majority of the United States. Freedom over violence!
